... I don't know if it's always been this way, but it has here. I didn't need to sleep back in the City.

The Library took care of all our needs so we could always be on call (though we could take naps and eat for fun, basically) and even in my job before I hadn't required it.

Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions for you to try. I've had my fair share of sleepless nights but those have long since passed.

[ way convenient. but food tastes so much better when you're hungry, and sleep is comforting when you feel too tired to be awake. it's helped her understand the vices of her coworkers, the life elijah once led as well. ]

I did. Though most of the time I was afraid of going to sleep rather than scared of what sleep might bring.

Something like that. There was a lot I was willing to lose back then but not my life.

I get it. The first few nights I was here, I was pretty scared of the same thing... Every time I fell asleep, I was worried I'd wake up someplace new.

... Even now, I worry about that. It feels too much like a dream sometimes.

I don't think there's anything we can do to stop that from happening, regardless of how much we wish otherwise. But I do hope for your sake that doesn't happen, and you wake up each morning exactly where you want to be, for many days to come.

I think I'll be sleeping more easily tonight than most thanks to you and your well-wishes, at the very least. I hope the same for you, Wriothesley, and that I've been a good distraction while you suffer from whatever inconvenience's plaguing you.
