I am a private person, is the thing. Flaunting relationships, be they intimate or not, is not what I do. We know what we mean to one another.

Nobody ever "has time" for relations. You MAKE the time, because you are invested in caring for someone!

And I was too busy caring for those under my watch. I value the health and well-being of those who rely on me as much as I would any romantic relationship, if not more.

But — you do them a disservice, that way!

One's subordinates ought to always know their leaders have boundaries, too. That strengthens their trust in one another — and forges communities made of peers instead of servitude to a sole man they count on above themselves.
